Civil Structures and Shock Absorber Systems
Tests carried out on civil structures, such as walls, slabs, beams, among others
- General mechanical tests (compression, bending, fatigue, etc);
Vibration dampening systems or metal vibration isolation
They are systems responsible for changing the natural frequency of the structure or for damping the vibrations. They may, together with a metal structure, contain a viscous fluid for increased damping. Main tests carried out:
- Mechanical characterization tests
- Quasi-static tests of vertical stiffness
- Fatigue tests
- Resistance tests
- Obtaining damping
Instrumentation
Instrumentation to verify the behavior and structural safety by means of accelerometers, extensometers, displacement transducers, piezometer, inclinometer, among others, in:
- Stands of stadiums, arenas, gyms, sambodromes;
- Road and rail bridges and viaducts;
- Dams;
- Buildings;
In addition to the instrumentation, LAEDE counts on the team of engineers of IEME Brasil for treatment and analysis of the data for conclusive reports on the situation of the structure.
